Jade

Among one of my favorite names and also one of my favorite plants is Jade. I was lucky enough to have a great friend of mine give me about 7 or 8 plants this summer before he moved out of the area, among which was a medium sized baby jade. As Jeremy travels across the country (visit his blog at jerjourneys.blogspot.com) his jade plant continues to grow in one of my windows. In Chinese culture the jade plant is believed to bring good luck and financial prosperity... I dont know about that but I do know it produces a room full of oxygen! Next month I'll be pruning the plant for the first time...call me a nerd, but I'm really excited about that.
