Over the past couple of years, whenever I wander into a thrift store or antique shoppe, there are four things my eyes are always on the lookout for...Used books, buttons (especially mason jars full of buttons, of which I've found an surprising amount), Scarves/Handkercheifs, and vintage photos.
The last item has become of higher interest as I've collected more and more photos over time. Its so interesting to me to think about where the photo might have come from, why or how someone decided to get rid of it/misplace it, who are the individuals in the photo, in front of and behind the camera lens, and what sort of day did they find themselves in? Also, is this the last remaining item of theirs, do they have and family to carry on their memory? Theres so much to wonder about!
