Crystals
Wilson Bentley, a Vermont farmer, took photographs of snowflakes under a microscope as a hobby. These photographs were published in the "Monthly Weather Review" in 1902.
Sitting by my window as snowflakes large and small go bounding by, I find myself in awe of nature. The mere fact that no matter what is going on in our personal lives, good or bad, nature still takes its course, still does what it consistently does when given the right catalyst, regardless of us or our wants. I wish I had a camera right now so I could take a photo of the tree outside of my window. Its just your ordinary tree, I'd say about 15-20 ft tall, but with lots and lots of branches dispersed throughout. It looks absolutely incredible right now as each individual dark branch is clung to by millions, probably billions of tiny snowflakes of the purest white. sigh.
I was curious about the crystallizing process of snow and just crystals in general. Click here to find the answers.
