winter walk...

        Tonight I took advantage of the snow covered and starlit night by taking a walk. I made my way to a nearby field where I could see the snow untouched and glistening in the starlight. I was amazed at the height to which it had all accumulated as the frozen particles inconveniently found there way into my boots. I trecked through the field and found a spot on the playground where i was high enough to lay back and feel engulfed by the night sky. There was a silence that brought a peace to the night. The innumerable snow crystals caught the corner or my eye with their glistening.  A sense of clarity, meaning, and yet insignifigance in self captured my every thought. Looking up at the stars I couldn't help but wonder about life. All the typical questions that one has about it. Questions that men and woman of all ages and throughout the ages have pondered. A well worth it sort of night.
