words for the day...

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.”
Charles R. Swindoll quotes (American Writer and Clergyman, b.1934)

I am...
A twenty-something ragamuffin who wants to live off the land, love God and people, adventure through life with my incredible husband/best friend, laugh often, live passionately, teach and be taught as often as possible, and make things with her hands.

"mama was a rolling stone"

As an individual who is accustomed to bouts of passion for one subject or another I've often felt the pressure to acclimate to the rest of humanity (or at least the majority) and pick one or two things in life to really be committed to or focused on. I have reconciled myself with the idea that the inability or lack of desire to commit is in fact one of the major traits that identifies who I am and I dig that. I am Me. My found purpose is to inspire and impassion individuals in one area or another through my ramblings, reveries, and fancies.

Yarn

Yarn
I recently purchased a ton of yarn that was on clearance at Joanne Fabrics. One of my great friends Mel (find her at http://ranchnapkins.blogspot.com) is going to teach me to crochet over the weekend. I'm really excited to learn something that will enable me to be a bit more self sufficient when it comes to clothing/blankets/etc.
